Dave Battista is set to star in a new action movie project titled Coolerand in the film he will play a bouncer. Drew Pearce (Artemide hotel, Iron Man 3, Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw) will write and direct the film which will begin production in summer 2023.
The film follows South Beach bouncer Ray Sagona, played by Bautista, “who is on the verge of finding redemption and getting his family back. But when a drug-filled safe is stolen from the club he works at, Ray is blackmailed to find it before the Miami PD Narcotics Bureau comes to retrieve it Sunday night. Now, as his past and present collide in increasingly dangerous ways, Ray must survive an epic 36-hour odyssey across Miami Beach to get that safe back … one last Herculean task on his journey to absolution.
Infrared will finance and produce the film and President of Production Drew Simon said, “Drew Pearce is one of the most exciting storytellers in the action genre and we are incredibly proud to partner with him to bring his dynamic and exciting vision to the screen.
