With all of Jonathan Anderson’s results at London Fashion Week (read – button-down dresses) his eponymous label doesn’t stray far from JW Anderson’s fashion show, designer 2023 Loewe’s spring-summer collection is at a Paris event. And it seems that the word “multitasking” was coined by him. Until now, we wonder where the English master got so many ideas and time, because non-trivial design solutions can rightly be called the hallmark of both brands.
A few hours ago, Loewe showcased it at Paris Fashion Week. To say the show is legendary would be an understatement. And according to the author of this text, today the French capital witnessed the most beautiful show of the season. At least for a flower.
The main motif of the show was the anthurium and its erotic appeal, which, metaphorically, did not remember every detail of the collection. If you study the symbolism of a tropical plant, its main task is to preserve family happiness in the family of the newlyweds. And anthurium reminds men that they are the protectors of their loved ones. Actual date for our facts? Three times yes.

Anthurium wasn’t just the main decoration at the fashion show: the motif was traced throughout the collection, from flowers on the front of the dresses to plants rather than part of the sconce. The models walked the runway to Suite n, cellist Ophélie Gaillard’s iconic composition. 1 in G Major, the BWV 1007, along with the clattering sound coming from the heels – literally rounded off the atmosphere of the show. No doubt: Jonathan is a gifted puzzle collector. The designer has always been renowned for his focus on details, be it suits or clothing. And it seems it’s time to move on completely to the second part of our story.

The number one important detail – shoes decorated with many non-inflated balls. The item was also seen in the brand’s autumn-winter collection – but in the role of “hail air”. Number two – dresses with upright trenches on the bodice – after all, Anderson is also known for his masterful work on sculptural forms. And finally, the third point – patent leather tops and shoes with a floral print, as if made of porcelain, as another boring solution to familiar products.

In addition, the image of a hoodie and “fuzzy” sand pants with clear lines, taken from computer games, attracted attention. But our absolute favorites were dresses with polo necklines and extra-short pleated skirts – a simple solution, but no less interesting for that. Another proof that a focus on eroticism can play colors that are not strictly vulgar. Well, for those who like to speak directly, there are always dresses with anthurium flowers on a bare chest.
