James Gunn does not lose sleep due to the racists upset by the revelation of Peacemaker’s Earth-X revelation

The last season of Pacifier He is pushing some elements of history in interesting directions, and James Gunn could not be more unrepentant about it.

Episode 6 shocked the fans with the revelation that Chris Smith came across Terra-X, an alternative reality in which the Nazis won the Second World War and took control of America.

In episode 7, it was confirmed that anyone who is not white is locked up in the fields, which is a gloomy and disturbing vision of a world governed by hatred.

Some spectators, incredibly, turned to social media to complain about how Pacifier He managed his representation of the Nazis. But Gunn, who never escapes controversy, is making it clear that it will not lose a minute of sleep for this.

In a recent interview with GQ, Gunn said: “The show delights me. I really do what I want with Peacemaker – And I want to say, on the one hand, I do what I want with anything, because I am able to do my choices and I am the head of myself.”

He added: “But with Peacemaker, we really leave to lose. We run risks. We go to places where I think other people are afraid to go”.

He continued explaining that there were internal resistances behind the scenes, but he had no intention of compromising history.

“We have received many resistance from various sources within the structure, on this episode in particular, and we thought, ‘We are not shy on this. We simply make the story we want to do and I don’t want to have punched with it.'”

And what about who complains online? Gunn could not import less. “And it is interesting because there was not that type of … I have some racists who called me polarizing, but it is good for me to be polarizing and let racists fall in the oblivion. People have loved this episode more, so they are exciting.”

Although it seems that the show will not revisit Earth-X so soon, fans can expect the episode of next week to deepen the mysterious Quc and what it means to the world. Tomorrow’s man.

As for the recourse? It is difficult to take someone seriously who is angry for the fact that the Nazis are represented in an insignificant light. Peacemaker is simply doing what he knows how to do best: tell wild stories and without fear that they refuse to go on the safe side.
