The official: the remake of the popular anime Rurouni Kenshin comes loaded with action with a new trailer: Diffusion (Aniplex)
It’s official! Announced a new project for an anime series based on the acclaimed manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, ‘Rurouni Kenshin’, known in Latin America as ‘Samurai X’, which will be a remake of the first adaptation of the 90s. As part of the Aniplex Online Fest 2022, it has just been unveil the first traileras well as the production team and cast who will participate in this new production.
As the official trailer reveals, the production will be a new adaptation of the series that originally aired in Japan from 1996 to 1999. Likewise, we can appreciate a new animation for this remake according to current anime quality standards, as well as the new actors who they will lend their voices for the series.
What other details do we know about this new adaptation by Rurouni Kenshin?
In this first trailer of the new animated series ‘Rurouni Kenshin’, we are shown a new version of Kenshinalso known as “Battousai, the butcher of men”, nickname with which the protagonist is known from his past, also showing us the stormy days in which the character acted as a hitman.
At the same time, we are shown the encounter between Himura and Kaoru Kamiya – the second main character in the story – who recognizes our main character by his ominous nickname. This new adaptation of the popular anime Rurouni Kenshin will air on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block in Japan and is expected to extend its broadcast to other television networks and streaming platforms by 2023.
The studio in charge of this new production will be Liden Films, who was responsible for the 2016 animated version of “Berserk” and “Tokyo REvengers”, while the director of this new adaptation is Hideyo Yamamoto, who was behind works like “Stand My Heroes. : PIECE OF TRUTH ‘,’ Hataraku Saibou BLACK ‘,’ Strike the Blood FINAL ‘and more.
Likewise, this new adaptation will have something new seiyuusname by which the voice actors are known in Japan, for each of the characters, confirming so far those who will have the leading roles: Souma Saitou will play Kenshin Himura while Rie Takahashi will be the new voice of Kaoru Kamiya.
On the other hand, many fans expect this new adaptation of “Rurouni Kenshin” to be completely faithful to the manga and leave the filling chapters aside as it did in the 90s series. Be that as it may, it will be interesting to see Kenshin on screen again.
