I’m pumped for the release of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection in 2023! During the Tokyo Game Show 2022, Masakazu Eguchi (aka Mr. Famous), the director of the game, announced that the game will have online functionality for all 10 games included in the collection. In short, the team is currently working on online features that will include battles and chip trading. Hopefully this is cross-platform. Here’s what Eguchi said in full:

Mega Man Battle Network is back on the TGS stage in the form of the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection! I am so happy to be able to give you more news on Battle Network, almost 17 years after Mega Man Battle Network 6!
It’s been a while since the Legacy Collection was announced, but our team has been very motivated to see all the excitement on social media! Now, I’m sure there’s something you’re all wondering … right? That’s right, the online functions!
Don’t worry. No matter what, we are always connected! We are currently working on online features such as online battles and chip trading for each game! We will all still be connected in this game!

Additionally, fans have been shown that a 3D MegaMan.EXE will be in the game selection screen and gallery to be like your friend, complete with voice reactions. Capcom compared it to having your Personal Terminal (PET) like Lan Hikari in games. You can have fun Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection on Nintendo Switch, PC and PS4 in 2023.
