Award-winning composer John Williams is known for so many of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time. He recently directed a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and revealed a new theme for which he wrote Indiana Jones 5the long-running sequel set to hit theaters next year and which Williams says will be his last soundtrack.
The film will see Harrison Ford will reprise the starring role and will be accompanied in the cast by Phoebe Waller-Ponte (Lots of fleas, Solo: a Star Wars story), Mad Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Thomas Kretschmann (King Kong), Shaunette Renée Wilson (The resident), And Antonio Bandera (Pain and Glory). The new film is directed by James Mangold (Logan), who took over from Steven Spielberg, and Williams is back, as no Indiana Jones movie would be complete without a John Williams soundtrack.
At the Hollywood Bowl event, Williams debuted “Helena’s Theme” from Indiana Jones 5, who is the character played by Waller-Bridge. Williams anticipates that her character is an adventurous “femme fatale”. A video of the event was shared by Charles Ozeas (via Polygon) on Youtube.
It’s a beautiful soundtrack, and it’s great to see Williams on stage bring it to life. Take a look below and see Indiana Jones 5 in cinemas on June 30, 2023.
