Attention, SPOILER!
This Monday, September 5th, HBO Max released the third episode corresponding to the first season of “House of the Dragon”. The chapter had barely been available for a few hours when fans of the series began to echo a serious CGI mistake on social networks during its development.
During the plot of the series, King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) suffers from a disease that gets worse over the years. During this third chapter, we have been able to observe how this disease worsens, causing the King of the Seven Kingdoms to end up losing two fingers. However, in an exact shot, especially at 44:28, we can see Viserys fingers on his hand. Obviously we see them green because of the CGI glove chosen to eliminate them.

This rapid development of the disease is due to the frenetic pace of the series. Between the second and this third chapter no less than three years have passed. For this reason, it has been known from the beginning that many of the actors and actresses in the series will be replaced. This will be part of the time jump foreseen by the series that forces her to introduce new profiles to interpret the more advanced ages of certain characters.
This is not the first time
This mistake made by the team of “La Casa del Dragone” is far from the first to occur in a production of this caliber.. One of the most famous in recent years was the famous glass of coffee during an episode of “Game of Thrones”. This glass was subsequently removed with post-production techniques from the show team only a few hours later, which will likely happen with Viserys’ finger as well.
Another good example was the appearance of a man in jeans during an episode of the second season of “The Mandalorian”. Against the backdrop of a scene with Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers, we were mistakenly spotted as a new crew member dressed in blue jeans and a gray T-shirt.
