This Sunday, September 4th, the world premiere of ‘The Whale’, the new drama directed by Darren Aronofsky, took place. The act took place at the Venice Film Festival, where the protagonist of the film, Brendan Fraser, was also present. The actor, who rose to fame with his roles in “The Mummy (The Mummy)” and “George of the Jungle”, he thus returns to a job as a leading actor after leaving him in 2013. Despite her appearance last year on “Smooth Moves”, Fraser hasn’t starred in a movie since “Desperate Run”.

After the screening of this new production, the audience present gave Fraser an emotional and spectacular ovation, which could not hold back tears.. The cheers lasted about eight minutes and prevented the 53-year-old Canadian actor from leaving the room. After bursting into tears, Fraser thanked the attendees for the gesture by bowing. According to several journalists, his performance directly positions him as one of the top Oscar nominees for Best Actor.
In “The Whale”, Fraser plays Charlie, a prisoner weighing over 250 pounds who tries to recover his relationship with his daughter.. Sadie Sink, who played a pivotal role in the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’, puts herself in the shoes of Ellie, the 17-year-old teenager. The rest of the cast is completed by Samantha Morton, Ty Simpkins, Hong Chau, Sathya Sridharan, Huck Milner and Ryan Heinke. The film is an adaptation of Samuel D. Hunter’s play of the same name..

For the recording, Fraser wore a suit that added between 30 and 160 pounds depending on the scene.. The actor, who spent more than 6 hours wearing makeup every day of the recording, talked about how he made these shots: “I built muscles I didn’t know I had. I also felt a sense of dizziness at the end of the day, when they took off my dress, like when you disembark from a dock on a ship in Venice. That rippled feeling. She made me appreciate those bodies that are similar. You have to be an incredibly strong person, physically and mentally, to enable that physique.”.
Approved by Dwayne Johnson
Among the many compliments addressed to Fraser in the last few hours, that of Dwayne Johnson stands out. The movie star and legendary wrestler wanted to congratulate her friend via her Twitter account.
