Even when Netflix went through tough times, it did not give the green light to the second season of the series ‘The Sandman’, despite its great success on the streaming platform. But if it does, it could lead to one of the most complex and fascinating stories in comics.
From its premiere, ‘The man of sand’ it was a big hit on netflix, since the audience reacted with good numbers, while the specialized critics also made good comments on the story with Tom Sturridge. But the uncertainty of the fans suggests that the sequel is still in limbo.
It is worth mentioning that the first season of ‘The man of sand’ covers the first two issues of the graphic novel written by Neil Gaiman, of which it extends for 73 more deliveries. So there is still a lot of history ahead and becoming one of the great fantasy series at the height of “Game of Thrones”.
So in the possible second season of ‘The man of sand’ a story that is as fascinating as it is complex could be born. It all ended when Desire confessed to Morpheus about her plans to defeat him. However, The King of Dreams warned him of the consequences of their making.
Lucifer wants revenge in “The Sandman 2”
So, the second season of “The Sandman” may have one of the most famous fights in the comics, the confrontation between Morpheus, Despair and his twin sister, Desire. And, on the other hand, Lucifer’s revenge, since, as seen at the end of the tenth episode, the character of Gwendoline Christie declares war on the King of Dreams.
After being defeated by Morpheus, Lucifer now wants to take revenge on the character of Tom Sturridge, along with all his followers from hell. The next season of “The Sandman” could adapt “Land of Dreams”, which in addition to these two comparisons also includes other subplots.
At the moment, fans and Neil Gaiman himself are still waiting for Netflix to approve the second season of “The Sandman”. Although the creator hinted that, in the event of cancellation, he could take his story of him to another streaming platform and continue Morpheus’s story.
