The first trailer came out for the brutally violent R-rated Winnie the Pooh unbridled horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. This is a super dark version of the beloved characters created by AA Milne in which Pooh and Piglet go wild and go on a bloody rampage after being abandoned by Christopher Robin.
The film comes from the director Rhys Frake-Waterfield, and it’s just a cheap, tasteless horror that would make creator AA Milne roll into the grave. I think a Winnie the PooHorror movie might be fun, but not so. They are just looking for shock value here.
The following details of the film were previously revealed:
“Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey will see Pooh and Piglet as the main villains … going on a rampage after being abandoned by college-bound Christopher Robin. Christopher Robin has been turned away from them and he is not [given] their food, made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult.
“Because they had to look after themselves so much, they essentially went wild. So they went back to their animal roots. They are no longer tame: they are like a ferocious bear and pig wanting to walk around and try to find prey.
The film was shot in England, not far from Ashdown Forest, which is the inspiration for Milne’s fictional Hundred Acre Wood in Winnie the Pooh stories.
