20th Century Studios and director Wes Ball (The maze runner) are developing a new one Planet of the Apes movie, and they just picked Owen Teague (It, The Stand) in the movie. Teague will take on the role of the main monkey in the film.
Not much is known about the history of this new film, but Ball previously shared that “Caesar’s legacy will continue”. This film will be set in the same universe that was created in the previous trilogy. Ball also teased: “We have a vision. We have a way to stay in the universe that was created before us, but we’re also opening up to do some really new things.”
He continued adding, “Again, I’m trying to be careful here. I’ll say it, for fans of the three originals don’t worry – you’re in good hands. The original writers and producers who emerged with Dawn and Dawn, Rick Jaffa And Amanda ArgentoI also agree with this. Josh Friedman he’s writing this, much of the same crew is involved in some way. We will feel like we are part of that original trilogy, but at the same time we are able to do really interesting new things. It will be really exciting to see him on the biggest screen possible. “
Well, I hope Ball and this creative team can actually deliver another great one Planet of the Apes movie. The films in the latest trilogy really set a high level!
The studio hopes to start production on the film before the end of the year. Do you think Ball has the talent and skills to make another big one Planet of the Apes movie?
