Blue Fox has released a trailer for a new movie titled The return of the railway children, which features a group of kids embarking on an adventure during World War II. The film is said to be a sort of sequel / remake of the 1970 British film Children of the railways. It sounds like a good heartwarming adventure movie, something I’d personally like to watch.
Here is the synopsis:
1944. As life in British cities becomes increasingly dangerous, 3 children evacuated: Lily (Beau Gadsdon), Patty (Eden Hamilton), Ted (Zac Cudby) Watts – sent by their mother from Salford to the village of Oakworth in Yorkshire. There to meet them on the station platform are Bobbie Waterbury (Jenny Agutterreprising her iconic role in the original film), her daughter, Annie (Sheridan Smith) and nephew Thomas (Austin Haynes), and with their help the displaced soon settle into their new life in the countryside. When the children discover the wounded American soldier Abe (KJ Aikens) hidden in the train yard at Oakworth Station, they are engaged on a dangerous mission to assist their new friend who, like them, is a long way from home.
The return of the railway children it’s direct Morgan Matthews (A brilliant young mind) and will be released on September 23, 2022.
