The walking dead The flagship series is coming to an end, but the saga is continuing with some exciting new projects, including the show that will follow Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) in a new adventure. The first details have been revealed for the show that was originally supposed to follow Daryl and Carol, but will now be a solo show later Melissa McBride He retired. The show will take place in Paris and filming abroad was understandably not feasible for the Walking Dead actress.
Then Reedus will travel to France, where the show will be conducted ER writer and Way of Mercy Creator David Zabel. The Walking Dead Chief Content Officer at AMC Scott Gimple is overseeing this new series, and the executive producer turned to the Daryl Dixon spinoff live on Sunday during the Talking Dead: The Walking Dead Universe Preview 2022 special (via CB), revealing plans for the series to premiere in 2023 on AMC and AMC +.
“The Daryl spinoff takes place in France,” Gimple announced. Confirming a connection with the Variant Walkers introduced in the post-credits epilogue of The Walking Dead: the world beyondGimple said, “[The World Beyond coda] it’s a bit of a mockery of some of the things that Daryl will have to deal with. ”
Gimple went on to say:
“Daryl is a fish out of water to begin with. If Daryl is with new people, he is a fish out of water. In France, in a country that is going through the apocalypse, [it’s] a completely different thing. He finds himself having to reinvent himself again, to find himself and also not to be with – probably – the only people in the world that he feels comfortable with. ”
On occasion The walking deadDuring the series’ final panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July, Reedus assured the Comic-Con audience that “the story of Carol and Daryl is not over yet.” Reedus’s comment echoed a statement from AMC, which stated that McBride may return to TWD Universe – after what Reedus called “some free time”.
I can’t wait to see what happens to Daryl, as well as Rick and Michonne on their series. The Walking Dead: The Latest Episodes will debut on Sunday 2 October on AMC. Tune in to find out how Daryl gets to Paris.
