Robert Pattinson nearly fired from “Twilight” for making Edward Cullen “too emo”

One of the more recent details he revealed is that playing him in that role nearly cost him the lead role because his agents considered him “pretty emo.”

In an interview with GQ, Robert Pattinson confessed that he nearly got fired from Twilight for the way in which he decided to give life to his character in the romantic fantasy saga: a touch too emo for the taste of his representatives, so much so that he warned him of what could have happened if he had not improved that interpretation.

During one of the recordings of “Twilight”, the actor’s reps visited him on set and saw some of the work he did in front of the screen. They said, “Okay, so whatever you’re doing right now, do the opposite after lunch or you’ll be fired at the end of the day …”
