Before Marco Hamill was put Star Wars and his life changed forever after playing Luke Skywalker, he worked on Jack in the Box. He was 18 at the time and it didn’t last long because the company fired him. He shared the story once, saying:
“I always tried to find the theatrical aspects. I actually worked down the road here at Jack in the Box and I was always in the back, making smoothies and looking after the grill. I always aspired to work at the window, the drive-thru. . And the only chance I had, it never occurred to me that I wasn’t in the Jack in the Box clown character. He told me to go home and never come back. Yes, I was fired. Fired. to be in character “.
Well, now the fast food chain has brought the actor back on board as the new face of Jack in the Box with an intense new marketing campaign they’ve launched.
There is a funny video that was released earlier this week where Hamill works on a Jack in the Box drive-thru and has fun with customers ordering food. You can check it out below.
They are also releasing a limited edition comic that will tell the story of Hamill’s history with the company, due out later this month. You can expect to see it in new commercials too.
Mark Hamill will later appear in Mike Flanagan’s Netflix horror series The Fall of the House of Usher.
