DC fans are still shocked by the Warner Bros. announcement that the Bad girl the film has been canceled and will not be released for people to see. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for the talent involved in bringing the film to life.
There is a lot of crazy hard work in developing a film and, with the film on the sidelines, it feels like all that hard work and time has gone to waste. directors Adil El Arbi And Bill Fallah they released a statement saying they were saddened and shocked by the decision. They said:
“We are saddened and shocked by the news. We still can’t believe it. As directors, it is imperative that our work is shown to the public and, although the film was far from finished, we hope that fans around the world had the opportunity to see and embrace the final film for themselves.
“Our amazing cast and crew did an amazing job and worked so hard to bring Batgirl to life. We are forever grateful to have been a part of that team. It was a dream to work with fantastic actors like Michael Keaton, JK Simmons, Brendan Fraser, Jacob Scipio, Corey Johnson, Rebecca Front and above all the great Leslie Grace, who played Batgirl with so much passion, dedication and humanity ”.
Now, the star of the movie, Leslie Grace, broke her silence on the cancellation and simply seems grateful for the opportunity she had. She also shared some behind-the-scenes photos and videos for fans to see. She said:
Querida family! In the wake of the recent news about our ‘Batgirl’ movie, I am proud of the love, hard work and intention that all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this movie in 7 months in Scotland. I feel blessed to have worked between great absolutes and lifelong forged relationships in the process! To all Batgirl fans – THANK YOU for the love and belief, which allowed me to put on the cape and become, as Babs best put it, “my goddamn hero!”

Not long after the news that Batgirl would be shelved, WB released the following statement:
“The decision not to release Batgirl reflects the strategic shift in our leadership in relation to the DC universe and HBO Max. Leslie Grace is an incredibly talented actress and this decision does not reflect her performance. We are incredibly grateful to the makers of Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday meeting place and their respective cast and we hope to collaborate with everyone again in the near future. “
The studio spent $ 90 million on the film, but it was pointed out to me that they will eventually make more money as a tax deduction than they would with HBO Max. I’m still interested in seeing the film, though! I can’t help but be curious.
