The presentation of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” at San Diego Comic-Con was one of the most special moments experienced this year at Hall H. The film crew was preceded by an African musical group and Chadwick Boseman was remembered throughout the panel.

Tenoch Huerta also starred in an absolutely powerful couple of minutes in his debut as Namor, leader of the Atlanteans. The Mexican wanted to greet the Comic-Con attendees with a few words in which he demonstrated the importance of inclusion and diversity in Hollywood: “I’m from the neighborhood, and I’m here thanks to inclusion. Without inclusion I would not be here. Many children are in their neighborhoods watching us, dreaming of being here. and they will get it”.

‘Black Panther’ knows what he is capable of seeing himself reflected in such a great film as a non-Caucasian person. Ryan Coogler’s film beat all odds at the box office, surpassing $ 1 billion worldwide and grossing $ 700 million in the United States alone, where it is the fifth highest-grossing film in history (without adjusting to inflation) and where it has become a cultural reset, sending so many black boys and girls the message that they too can be superheroes and shatter expectations along the way.
I can’t explain how much this means to me. This was the “I made it” moment for Hispanics. ??? pic.twitter.com/zB1ylMCSc2

Tribute to immigrants
Huerta did not want to limit himself to talking about inclusion, but also wanted to pay homage to the Mexican and Latin American people and to immigrants. And he did it in Spanish: “Thanks to all my compatriots, to all Latin Americans. You crossed the river and left everything you loved. Thanks to that, I’m here”. The actor is part of Poder Prieto, a collective that seeks greater equality for streamlined people in the industry.
Namor will be one of the big surprises that “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will bring, which has been announced as the film that will close the Phase 4 of the MCU. We will also meet Riri Williams, Dominique Thorne’s character, who will have her series, “Ironheart,” in Phase 5. Both can be seen briefly in the trailer for the film which was first seen in Hall H. The film will be released in theaters on November 11th.
