Denzel Washington Will Smith Oscar Slap: “Who Do We Condemn?”

Denzel Washington was one of the first to speak to Will Smith after his Oscar and Best Actor award.

On Saturday, at the Leaders’ Summit in Washington, D.C., he made his first public statement on the incident, along with Pastor TD Jakes, declaring that he laid out his general philosophy of Smith’s actions, though he had no details.

There’s a saying, “When the devil ignores you, you know you’ve done something wrong,” Washington said. “The devil says, ‘Oh no, leave me alone, this is my love.’ On the contrary, when the devil happens to you, he’s probably trying to do something right. And for whatever reason, the devil conquered him that night.”

Washington said they prayed on Oscar night. “Fortunately, it wasn’t just me there, but there were others as well. “Tyler Perry came to me right away,” Washington said. “Some sentences. I don’t want to say what we’re talking about. But it is there, but by the grace of God, release any of us. Who will we condemn? I don’t know all the trivialities of this situation, but I do know that the only solution is prayer. Well, as I see it. The way I see it. ”
