Why did LM or Breast Milk have that nickname? The Origin of Boys’ Breast Milk – Amazon Prime Video (Courtesy)
Laz Alonso’s character in the “The Boys” series has undergone several changes from the original comics, however, the origin of his nickname as Leche Materna or Mother’s Milk remains just as interesting, although it has different meanings in each of them.
Marvin T. Milk, or also known as Mother’s Milk, Breast milk or BF, is portrayed by Laz Alonso in the Amazon Prime Video seriesand that it is a fundamental part of The Boys, and that it has a personal grudge against the superintendents, The Seven, and especially against Payback.
In the comics, Mother’s Milk’s grandfather was killed by Soldier Boy, and his father died trying to demand justice for what happened. That’s why LM also wants to take out Payback and all the superheroes from “The Boys” and why he joins the cross between Billy Butcher and Vought.
Now, in the series of “The Boys” the origin of his name is not clear, but in the comic, Breastmilk earns the nickname Breastmilk because he has to drink his mother’s milk, how mom was a super, and was born with Compound V in his blood, which forces him to constantly drink milk to stay alive.
The differences of Breast Milk in the ‘The Boys’ series and in the comic
Unlike the comic, Maternal Milk has no powers in the Amazon Prime Video series, nor is he related to Compound V since its inception, but the past is respected where his grandfather and father die from Soldier Boy and the superintendents. Which leads him to join the group led by Butcher.
Also, in the comics, being exposed to Compound V, Butcher plans to kill Mother’s Milk and they have one of the most brutal fights in “The Boys”. And although the battle is even, Billy detonates a grenade in his face, giving him a chance to strangle him to death.
As for the series, Mother’s Milk is revealed in front of her daughter Janine, while her stepfather is now a faithful follower of Homelander, despite the atrocities he committed, even in front of the cameras, which freed him from his limitations. and it may be wilder for the fourth season of “The Boys” on Amazon Prime Video.
