Amazon Studios acquired the rights to the comic series Eight billion genes from Carlo Soule And Ryan Browne after a lit auction. The first project resulting from the acquisition is a feature film that will be produced by Soule and Browne and will serve as the basis for a cross-media universe.
Eight billion genes is a series that asks what would happen if everyone on the planet had a wish. At exactly the same moment everyone on Earth receives a genius and a wish and eight seconds later the world has changed forever. Sounds like an interesting premise, I hope the film is an animated film due to how awesome the premise is, but I suppose it will likely be live action.
You can check out comic series numbers one and two in comic shops and now digitally with numbers three and four coming out in July and August.
