The film and television adaptations of ‘resident Evil’had ceased in 2017, however, they recently returned to the screen with various projects. this new Netflix’s “Resident Evil” live-action seriesbears the original title of the franchise, but has a slightly revamped history and, in addition, a completely new cast, albeit with some references to the original plot of this franchise.

The story of the ‘Resident Evil’ series on Netflix

In ‘Resident Evil’ it tells the story of the sisters Jade and Billie, daughters of Alber Wesker, who was part of the original film saga of this franchise. Although, on this occasion, he assumes greater relevance as the main villain of the story, since according to the suspicions of his daughters, he could be behind something that puts life at risk in New Raccon City, the new city built on Raccon City. .

The story is told from two perspectives: in Jade and Billie’s childhood, when they begin to suspect their father has something sinister on his hands; and furthermore, his adulthood in the midst of a terrifying apocalyptic scenario in which there is little life expectancy and a constant need to survive the zombies.

The new face of ‘Resident Evil’

On the other hand, even the protagonists of Netflix’s “Resident Evil” are different from those of the original film saga of the franchise. On this occasion, Milla Jovovich is no longer a part of history like Alice; and she passes the baton of this universe to Ella Balinska and Adeline Rudolph as Jade and Billie Wesker, the daughters of Albert Wesker, played by Lance Reddick.

In addition, Ahad Raza Mir, Paola Nuñez, Connor Gosatti and many others are also part of the series; all with a key character within the story that revives the legacy that “Resident Evil” began over thirty years ago and is now being continued by this Netflix production.
