Here is another clip from the next Netflix movie Resident Evil series. The clip features Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska) is shown that she is unable to leave her current location because she is surrounded by a huge horde of zombies.
I actually can’t wait to see this show. I like what I’ve seen in the trailers and hope it ends up being a great series. We will have to wait and see.
The story is set 14 years after a world apocalypse caused by a deadly virus in the year 2036, “14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker (Balinska) fights for survival in a world overrun by bloodthirsty infected and mad creatures. In this utter carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling ties to the Umbrella Corporation, but most of all by what happened to her sister, Billie. ” Jade is the daughter of Albert Wesker.
Showrunner Andrea Dabb previously explained that they took “all the games and mixed them together” for this series. She also promises “a gripping puzzle mystery stitched together on two timelines”. One of these deadlines is set in 2036 and the other dates back to the year 2022.
It is also explained that, “The brand new expansion to the series brings the best of the Resident Evil DNA forward: tough heroines, crazy creatures (some new / some familiar), a battle for survival and, of course, a profound mystery to unravel. Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) expands directions with fresh storytelling, thrilling horror, and an action-packed show that’s perfect for summer binges.
The eight-episode series also stars Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rodolfo, Paola Nunez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor GossattiAnd Turlough Convery. Andrea Dabb (Supernatural) acts as showrunner / executive producer / writer with writer and producer Mary Lia Sutton.
Resident Evil will premiere on Netflix on July 14, 2022.
