Prime Video has released a poster and some photos that offer a new look Sylvester Stallonenext superhero movie Samaritan.
In the film, “13-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “I wish” Walton) suspects that his mysterious and lonely neighbor Mr. Smith (Stallone) is actually a hidden legend in plain sight. Twenty years ago, Granite City’s super-powered vigilante Samaritan was pronounced dead after a fiery battle in a warehouse with his rival, Nemesis. Most believe Samaritan died in the fire, but some in town, like Sam, hope he is still alive. With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam decides to persuade his neighbor to come out to save the city from ruin.
It looks like it was a big project for Stallone, who said in a statement, “I love action movies that also have a heart. I wanted to get involved with Samaritan because this story has many levels where I think people can relate. It is a kind of moral tale that is also very exciting to watch. We are thrilled that this will be seen globally on Prime Video, where my fans and all audiences can enjoy it together around the world. “
Samaritan era is headed by Giulio Avery who was previously at the helm Gentleman And Son of a gun. The film will premiere on August 26, 2022 on Amazon Prime.
