One of the most exciting things I saw at CinemaCon this year was the first trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’S Salem lot. That trailer has yet to be released, but gosh … it sounded like a great movie!
Lewis Pullman (Bad times at El Royale, Top Gun: Maverick) stars in the film and will play the role of author Ben Mears, “a man who returns to his childhood home in Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to find that his hometown is prey to a vampire. , leading him to join a disorganized group that will fight the evil presence. “
We now have some new details to share with you, including the fact that the film is “set around 1975 (when King’s book was first published)”. They also published the following synopsis: “Haunted by an incident from his childhood, author Ben Mears returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to find that the city is being preyed upon by a vampire. thirsty for blood and his loyal servant ”.
It was also announced that the film’s release date has been postponed. The film was originally supposed to be released on September 9, 2022. Now we have to wait until April 21, 2023, which sucks! Deadline explains that the delay is due to Covid-related issues in the post-production process.
The film is set in New Line Cinema and was written and directed by Gary Dauberman (It, The nun, Annabelle comes home). The film is also the protagonist Jordan Preston Carter like Mark Petrie, Alfred Woodard like Dr. Cody, Makenzie Leigh like Susan Norton, John Benjamin Hickey as Father Callahan, e William Sadler in an unannounced role.
I was very excited about this film and I am disappointed that we will have to wait until next year to be able to watch it. You can watch our video reaction to the footage we saw here.
