Kevin Smith shared three promotional posters for his next film Employees III. The release of these posters is leading to the premiere of the trailer, which will arrive on Wednesday.
The most recent poster features Dante Hicks (Brian O’Halloran) and Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) while watching the Quick Stop and some characters standing in front of it, included Jason Mewes like Jay and Smith like Silent Bob. There are also a couple of new characters. The poster also features the caption: “They are too old for this shift”.
In Employees III, “following a severe heart attack, Randal enlists Dante, Elias, Jay and Silent Bob to make a film that immortalizes his life in the convenience store that started it all.” The returning cast includes Rosario Dawson like Becky.
Each of the images is accompanied by a note from Smith offering further details and insights. Some of these notes include:

The reason Dante gives for closing the steel shutters of @quickstopgroceries during #Clerks is because someone got the rubber stuck in the locks. But the real reason the steel shutters were closed was because we shot most of the employees in the middle of the night or early in the morning when the shop was closed. That gag sign only existed to hide the threads of our little puppet show! I hand-marked (not shoe-polished) the sheet myself in 1993, so Dante still has my handwriting – which you can see in this one, our second pre-release poster of the funny people from @lionsgate’s marketing department! And on Wednesday 6 July we will take you beyond the steel shutters to show you the # clerks3 trailer! The Tour’s first 19 dates will also go on sale that day, with a second city wave announced at @comic_con – where you’ll find me stationed at @tinroofsandiego disguising himself as @moobyspopup! But on Saturday night, come and see me in Hall H, because I’m taking the cast with me and we’ll show #comiccon the first 5 minutes of Clerks III!
Now, in the fall of 2022, you’ll see Dante and Randal do something similar, when CLERKS III hits screens! AND ON WEDNESDAY JULY 6, you’ll get your first look at @clerksmovie’s joyful trailer when @lionsgate launches it worldwide IN 2 DAYS! In poster 3, we see our heroes Dante and Randal (@briancohalloran & #jeffanderson) are back, @jayandsilentbob are still loitering (with Bob’s briefcase handcuffed to his wrist a la Elwood Blues and @jaymewes sporting a sweater @newjerseydevilsofficial) and The genius junkie Jesus Elias (#trevorfehrman) has a new look and a new friend (played by @austinzajur from Son-in-Lockdown)! Together, these retailers will face the challenge of a lifetime in an artistic attempt to tell the story of their lives, all while continuing to sell cigarettes and grains! This fall, head back to the shop around the corner in New Jersey, where the 90s are never over, as I take my new film on the road for CLERKS III: THE CONVENIENCE TOUR!
