The premiere of “Thor: Love and Thunder” will mark Christian Bale’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Gorr, the butcher of the gods, one of the most fearsome villains to date. But now, The “Dark Knight” actor commented that he could return to his role as Batman with Christopher Nolan behind.

Between 2005 and 2012 was released the trilogy “The Dark Knight”, directed by Christopher Nolan, in which Christian Bale played Bruce Wayne and in which Heath Ledger won a posthumous Oscar for his interpretation of the Joker. Since then, Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson have brought the bat to life on the big screen.

But now, in an interview for Screen Rant, Christian Bale confirmed that no one asked him to return as Batman in DC, and although there have been several occasions he has been able to do so, the ‘American Psycho’ actor confirms that he will only do so if director Christopher Nolan asks him.

No. Nobody told me about it. Nobody talked about it. […] Every now and then people say to me, “Oh, I heard you were approached and you offered all of this.” And I: “This is new to me. Nobody said it.”

Also, Bale states that if Christopher Nolan has an idea to continue with his trilogy, he might come back: “I had a deal with Chris Nolan. We said,” Hey, look. We make three films, if we’re lucky enough to do it. And then let’s go. We don’t hang around too long. “In my mind, it would be something if Chris Nolan said to himself,” You know what, I have another story to tell. “And if he had wanted to tell that story with me, I would have been there.”

Christopher Nolan can no longer touch Batman

Although Christian Bale is open to the possibility of returning as BatmanEven with a cameo for the UEDC, the truth is that he couldn’t do it in a Christopher Nolan film, since the director was fired by DC Films and Warner Bros., owners of the rights to the character, and now works for Universal.

And with the conflict of ‘The Flash’, in which Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton will appear with their respective versions of Batman, it’s next to impossible for Christian Bale to go back to wearing the Dark Knight’s cloak, considering all the problems surrounding the movie with Ezra. Miller.

It’s true that with the development of the DC Comics Multiverse anything can happen, and perhaps after the Flashpoint event, Christian Bale will have a small cameo at some point. But it remains only to wait for the time to decide whether the actor of “The Dark Knight” will return with or without Christopher Nolan.
