Marvel Thor: Love and thunder is introducing a new Thor with Natalie PortmanJane Foster takes on the role of The Mighty Thor. She is fantastic in the role of her as she looks completely relieved, kicking her ass and wielding the hammer, Mjölnir. With the introduction of Jane’s Thor, she opens the door to see other versions of Thor introduced in the MCU.

In fact, the president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige teased the future of the Thor franchise that there are many more incarnations of Thor that we have yet to see they could play with. Speaking to the press, Feige said:

“There are these things called comics that contain a lot of stories. And that’s where all of our stories come from. What if the question is, ‘Have you told all the great Thor stories from the comics and the movies?’ The answer is no, there are many.

“I’ve always said that our interest in creating additional stories is in some way about continuing the character. It’s almost exclusively about continuing the experience with the actor. I think of our entire cast, not individual characters, but the players. Marvel, which within that character can grow, evolve and change.

“And if we look to the comics as our guide, there are many more incarnations of Thor that we have yet to see.”

One of my favorite comic book Thor characters I’d love to see explored in the MCU is Beta Ray Bill. But there are many more including War Thor, Throg, Thunderstrike, Thor 2099, Destroyer Thor, Thor-El, Iron Hammer, King Thor, Cosmic King Thor, and more!

There are many choices for Marvel, and I’m sure they will at some point in the future Chris Hemsworth is ready to stop making Thor movies, Marvel will begin introducing some of these other Thor characters to continue the franchise. Beta Ray Bill seems like the obvious first choice, but what other version of Thor would you like to see?
