As you know, Marvel Studios are preparing another new epic saga. Stages one through three of the MCU franchise brought us Infinity Saga, which ended up being pretty damn incredible. Over the course of Phase 4, Marvel has planted the seeds for the next Saga, but the full storyline has yet to be revealed.
In a recent interview with Total Film, Kevin Feige teased Marvel’s upcoming saga and said details will come soon. He said, “As we get closer to the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going.”
He went on to say: “I think there have already been a lot of clues, which at least to me are obvious, as to where the whole saga is going. But in the next few months we will be a little more direct on that, to set a plan, so that the public who wants to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap. “
I imagine some of these plans will be revealed at Comic-Con next month and Disney’s D23 Expo later this summer.
As for what we can expect from those plans, it is safe to assume that it will be inspired by the Secret Wars story arc, involving multiversal warfare and numerous forays across the multiverse that threaten the destruction of entire universes. It brings together the greatest heroes to fight the worst villains under the watchful eye of the Beyonder. Marvel hinted in this direction with the introduction of Kang the Conqueror and all the madness of the multiverse going on!
