Joseph Quinn, who plays Eddie Munson in STRANGER THINGS, says the end of season 4 is absolute carnage

Part of the magic of the series Stranger things is the cast that the creators, The Duffer brothers, chose to tell the story. The young stars, as well as their adult co-stars, have created wonderful bonds, which are always seen on screen. Following in the same adorable, rising star format Joseph Quinn joined the series this season as Dungeon Master, Eddie Munson.

The character has added a big new element to the story he’s been involved in (there have been many this season), and fans are hoping he’ll make it through the rest of the show. All we know for sure is that the final two episodes of season 4 are going to pack a punch. The Duffers explained that they stopped the season simply because they weren’t finished making the last two episodes, which makes sense since the final episode will last more than two hours! And according to Quinn, we’re in “carnage”.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, the actor said:

“The thing is, they’ve bonded my family somewhere and if I miss something, I’ll never see them again. No, I can say there is a guitar scene and the scale and ambition are amazing. All the seeds that have been planted bear fruit and it is only carnage. You know the finale is two and a half hours, right? Ending with this monster, full-length episode is so bold.

The Duffers previously revealed to Empire magazine that the upcoming season finale includes more visual effects shots than the show’s entire third season combined, explaining:

“There’s a one-hour piece in the final episode that just doesn’t stop. It’s the hardest thing we’ve ever tried to do. [It’s] all tension and terror, with a duration that would be long even for a film. Then – well, everything goes to hell … “

As for whether or not Eddie will return for the fifth and final season of Stranger thingsQuinn could only tell the Guardian, “I’ll be furious if they don’t bring me back [laughs]. I’d love to if they caught me. “

Well, it looks like he can do it! But that certainly doesn’t mean we’re off the hook. Noah Grappa, who plays Will Byers on the series, recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and said people are going to die in this season finale! I can’t wait to watch, but I’m already so sad.

Stranger things Season 4, Part 2, will be available on Netflix on July 1st.
