Netflix has published the first teaser trailer for its next criminal thriller series The beast in meAnd it seems that we are in an intense psychological race. The series comes from the creative minds behind Homeland.
The story follows the acclaimed author of the Wiggs, played by Claire Daneswho retired from public life after the tragic loss of his son. Fighting to find a meaning, the Nile Jarvis, played by Matthew RhysA powerful real estate magnate with a dark cloud hanging on its past.
Jarvis was once the main suspect in the mysterious disappearance of his wife and the curiosity of arguments moves rapidly to an obsession.
As Netflix describes it, “immediately horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggchi finds himself in the hunt compulsively for the truth – chasing his demons as they flee his – in a game of cat & mouse that could become mortal”.
The cast also includes Brittany Snow, Natalie Morales, Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deidre O’Connell, Aleyse Shannon, Will Brill, Kate Burton, Bill Irwin, Amir ArisonAND Julie Ann Emery.
Showrunner Howard Gordon He explained the meaning of layers behind the title of the series:
“The title of the series comes from a song by Johnny Cash – but it is not as simple as it could initially seem. It is really all our complicity. Whether it’s Monica Lewinsky or Amanda Knox or Nile Jarvis or other, sometimes we are fast to make hypotheses.
“But when we are forced to look at him from another point of view, do we have humility and compassion to listen and review the narrative?”
The beast in me It is created by the writer Gabe Rotter (X files) and is showrun and co-scored by Gordon, with an additional writing from Erika Sheffer, Ca Johnson, Daniel Pearle, Ali LiebegottAND Mike Skerrett.
The series is directed by the director Antonio Campos (Christine, the devil always, the scale) and produced by the 20th television.
This movie makes fun of a compelling mix of psychological drama, mystery and suspense. With Danes and Rhys who guide the charge, it seems that Netflix has another thriller not to be missed on the hands this autumn.
