Like a Jedi made its way through the mortal order of the empire 66 Purge

The fall of the Jedi order through order 66 has been said several times Star Wars stories, but Star Wars: Legacy of Vader #7 I just introduced a Jedi survivor whose escape tactic could be the most intelligent we have seen again.

In a galaxy in which most Jedi fought and fell with the laser swords, the great character survived did not clash with clone troops, but using his mind in a way that nobody saw.

Written by Charles Soule with art of Luke RossThis new story launches the script on Jedi survival focusing on an underestimated strength ability … Jedi mental makeup.

La Grandea, now an elderly woman, recalls how she escaped death during the notorious Jedi Purga not through combat, but Armando an ability that many Jedi saw as below them. While he says it, when clones light up, he does not take his blade. He simply made them believe it wasn’t a Jedi. That’s all. No pursuit, no blaster fire. Only a well -positioned suggestion in their minds and has been forgotten.

His charm for Jedi mental makeup, a technique that many in order considered rough or manipulative, became his salvation. “The danger is not over with Order 66“He explains. Knowing that he would be driven out forever, he destroyed his laser sword, he burned his clothes and completely abandoned the identity of a Jedi.

Instead of hiding in fear, he embraced the power of the mind. The granda has spent years to perfect her skills, transforming a make -up a time in a master’s art. He pushed the limits, testing him against Hutts and Toydarians, notoriously resistant beings to Jedi’s influence. And she won. It has canceled itself from memory. While she said, “wherever I went, I’ve never gone.”

His ability was so effective, he even beat the inquisitors. After a brutal meeting with two of them, Grandea used his mental make -up to convince them that he was dead. They reported to Darth Vader with total trust, officially removing it from the list of the empire’s killings.

Decades later, when Kylo Ren faces her in a tavern, he tries to read his mind just to stop in the cold. Instead, great reads his own. “He was screaming him to himself,” he says, randomly demonstrating that even someone as powerful like Kylo could not break his defenses.

Grandea’s story adds a new really interesting and fun layer to the Jedi tradition. He did not rely on his laser swords and combat skills, nor did he hide. He learned a subtle art, the order underestimated and used it to survive. Nobody perceived it. Nobody found it. And even when they did, it hadn’t already gone.

In a universe full of epic battles and duels fed by force, Vader #7 Legacy It reminds us that the most powerful weapon that a Jedi has could only be their mind.
