Kevin EastmanThe beloved co-creator Ninja Ninja Mutant Teen MutantsHe recently gave fans an exciting update on the expected live-action adaptation of Turtles Ninja Mutants teenagers: The Last Ronin.
Draw comparisons with Frank Millericonic Batman: The Dark Knight returnsEastman has revealed an interesting vision of what fans can expect from the next rating film R Gritty.
During the San Diego Comic-Con, Eastman spoke with the comic, confirming his involvement as a consultant for the film adaptation of The last RoninThe acclaimed five-emissions miniseries that has co-scored with the comic Tom Waltz.
The story explores a dark and dystopian future in which a solitary turtle embarks in an relentless mission to avenge his fallen brothers facing Oroku Hiroto, the grandson of their legendary enemy, Shredder.
Eastman expressed his appreciation for the dedication of Paramount and Nickelodeon, saying:
“They don’t have to take me inside to be involved anywhere, but they bring me for comics, cartoons shows, [and to] Consult the films, in particular the last Ronin. I love it and they are wonderful. “
While Eastman communicated with the screenwriter Tyler Burton Smith (The boy kills the world), he was cautious in confirming whether the film would officially receive the Rating Ring initially reported. He shared:
“I am really enthusiastic about what they are doing and what they will do. They are all saying that he will be classified R, but until you know officially, we will wait for the word from them.”
To the question if the film could tie to the previous one Ninja Ninja Mutant Teen Mutants Cinematographic adaptations, Eastman described how The last Ronin creatively reflects Miller’s autonomous nature Dark Knight:
“What I was told in the discussions, however limited, is that what they loved the last Ronin – because the last Ronin, for me, was a love poem of the dark knight of Frank Miller.
“All the things Batman exist in Dark Knight, but was set in a universe just to the left [of canon]. So they didn’t have to play with all the lignous rules … they were able to tell a story all within themselves. And with the last Ronin, we have adopted the same approach, but it is strongly leaning against the Mirage universe. “
For Eastman, the original Ninja Ninja Mutant Teen Mutants #1 of 1984 means “the beginning” e The last Ronin It represents “the end”, making it an ideal autonomous narrative.
“It is my understanding that is the approach they will adopt, and good for them, and wise. I think it is the right way to go.”
By expanding on this gritty vision, Eastman and Waltz have nicknamed the expanding plot the “Ronin-Verse”, with spin-off as The Last Ronin: The Lost Years, The Last Ronin – Lost Day Specialand the next sequel The Last Ronin II: Revolution.
Walter HamadaFormer President of DC Films and executive producer of projects such as The Batman AND SuicideIt is on board as a manufacturer.
