When Superman Incarnas theaters, fans were unable to stop talking about an unexpected moment in the middle of one of the greatest battles of the film … the steel man who lay to save a squirrel. It turns out that that scene has not almost arrived in the final cut, and everything has come to an approximate reaction during the tests of the tests.
James Gunn Open on the debate behind the scenes in a recent interview with Rolling Stone:
“Yes, even if it was probably the second or third moment more discussed in the film. Because we showed it to test the audience and some people did not like the squirrel. They are like” why is the f*ck save a squirrel? “Why is you taking some time, saving a squirrel?”
I admit it … I thought it when the scene took place! Gunn admitted that he actually removed the moment at some point:
“There was a cut in which I cut it and I am like, ‘I really miss the squirrel. He must save the squirrel.” In addition, there were also some geographical problems with where it ended if I didn’t make him fly with the squirrel.
So why Superman saves a squirrel in the middle of a city battle? According to Gunn, it is a question of remaining faithful to those who are Superman in the center.
In the film, Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hault) unleashes a huge kaiju on the metropolis as a distraction so that he and his crew can enter the fortress of solitude.
During the chaos, Superman (David Corenswet) prevents the creature from crushing a dog, a little girl, and then launches herself to save a small squirrel from being crushed.
Of course, it’s a quick moment, but it captures what makes Superman different from any other superhero … each life is important, it doesn’t matter how big or small.
Superman It is in cinemas now, so if you have not yet seen it, keep an eye on that heroic sciatto cameo.
