Madame Web He cemented himself as one of the strangest blips in the history of superhero films, such a disconcerting film that swept the racies of 2024, including the worst screenplay and the worst actress for Dakota Johnson.
But, even in the most embarrassing moments of Hollywood, there is a silver coating … and sometimes, that silver coating has the shape of a vocal note from Sandra Bullock.
In the new Podcast by Amy Pohler Good Hang, Johnson shared that after the announcement of raids, Johnson said he had received a message from Bullock, who notoriously “won” the worst actress in 2010 for All about SteveJust to win the Oscar days later The blind side.
Johnson told Pohler:
“I recently exchanged texts – well, I received a vowel note – from Sandra Bullock, because I don’t know if you know, but I won the raid for the worst actress.
“There are many good people who won this … but Sandra Bullock sent me a vowel note, being like ‘I heard that you are in the raid clubs and we should have brunch, we should have a monthly brunch.’ Because I guess he won that year in which he also won the Oscar.
Understandably, Johnson was surprised.
“I went crazy receiving this message from her because it is so iconic for me, like a cinema star. I was like” Oh my God. “I was just crazy.”
The notorious Madame WebMissing Misfire of Sony, saw Johnson interpret Cassandra Webb, a New York paramedic that earns psychic powers after a pre-horteous experience.
He had all the characteristics of an intriguing story of origin, but what hit the theaters seemed more like a minced relic of a film captured between the studio mandates and changing creative visions.
With an 11% evaluation on rotting tomatoes and only $ 43 million earned at the home box office, it has quickly become the internet boxing bag.
But Johnson clarified that he is not taking the bland blame. Previously he explained what he went wrong behind the scenes.
“There is this thing that happens now when many creative decisions are taken by the Committee. Or taken from people who do not have a creative bone in their body. And it is really difficult to do art in that way. Or do something fun in that way.
“And I think that unfortunately with Madame Web, it started as something and turned into something else. And I was only a bit for the race at that point. But this happens. The biggest budget movies fail all the time.”
ON Good handIt has further expanded, opening up how disorienting the process as an actor was.
“The final cut of Madame Web was a completely different screenplay from the one I got attached. It is a wild thing to appreciate a crazy journey to do as an artist because you are like, ‘Okay, I am doing something similar to my real body and my mind and my heart, my emotions.
“They are like using things. And it’s just taken EF*Cked.” But you can’t do anything.
