Now that Daredevil: born again He has returned under the Mc Spotlight, fans are enthusiastic about those who join the party for season 2 while Jessica Jones has officially returned to the case.
After months of speculation, Krysten Ritter has been confirmed to resume his role and has already been spotted on the set Charlie CoxMatt Murdock. Of course, fans have questions … and so also Cox.
In a recent interview with Deadline, COX has made fun of how it will be to see Daredevil and Jessica gathered on the screen, and it seems that we are committed to a clash of personality that could lead to a very fun friction. COX said:
“There is a mutual mutual respect. He finds him too serious and too much of a chorus boy, and finds it coarse and sheds light on too many serious situations; he is more anti -hero than hero.”
That contrast is exactly what made their short interactions The defenders Pop, but Cox has also reported a small continuity problem that is invoked by that wrapped miniseries:
“When Jessica Jones discovered that I was not dead? At the end of the defenders, everyone presupposes that I died.”
Right question. Jessica is a damn good private investigator, so it is likely that he put together two and two once he re -emerged from Helsevil in the kitchen of Hell’s. But it is one of those fun oddities of the MCU temporal sequence that could be flooded by hand or explain with a single launch line. It will be interesting to see how writers affect that gap.
As for the neighbor, COX did not give too much, but it opened some concerns it had during production.
“Before the production was interrupted because of the writers and actors, Vincent and I had expressed concern about the fact that some of the ingredients that the show had found in the original iteration, which we thought were a key factor in its success, had been omitted. I did not see the show until it was out, in part because I was nervous for it.”
Even with some bumps along the way, Cox is still optimistic. “There were some things that we shot that they didn’t make sense in the narrative. I am amazed by what Dario reached,” he added, referring to showrunner Dario Scardapane.
As for Ritter, he seemed pumped for his return during a recent Disney Upfronts appearance.
“It is so nice to be back, to return to Jessica after three seasons and the defenders and now combined with the MCU. I am so enthusiastic to bring this iconic character back and without giving too much, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. It will be an incredible season!”
We still do not know how many episodes will appear Jessica or if other defenders such as Luke Cage or Iron Fist will open, but for now, Matt and Jessica’s perspective who will join again and see more than their dynamics is more than enough to let the fans look.
