Josh Brolin recites in the adaptation of Whalefall on a diving underwater that is swallowed up by a whale

Josh Brolin (The Goonies, Avengers: endgame, Dune) is in negotiations to join Austin Abrams (Euphoria, Wolf) in the 20th century adaptation of Daniel Kraus’ novel Whalewith Brian Duffield (Love and monsters, Nobody will save you) Direction. Duffield will co-disclose the screenplay with Kraus.

“The film is described as The Martian it meets 127 hours, Focused on a diver in search of the remains of the deceased father who are swallowed up by an 80 -foot sperm whale and 60 tons and has only an hour to escape before his oxygen runs out.

“After giving up on life, the young man is surprised to find a reason to live in the most dangerous and improbable places.”

Imagine Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody and Allan Mandelbaum of Entertainment. Mandelbaum brought the book to Imagine and previously produced Duffield Nobody will save you (for the 20th century studies). Duffield will also produce.

Whale He generated an immense buzz in the publishing world, receiving consensus of readers and literary fans.

Brolin will subsequently be seen protagonist of Zach Cregger WeaponsEdgar Wright’s The man running and the neighbor of Rian Johnson Hit installment, Wake up Dead Man. More recently he has resumed his role in Gurney Halleck Dune: Part 2.
