Steven Knight suggests the theatrical release for the Peaky Blinders film

Steven Knight He cooked something big with the Peaky Blinders Film, and if he has his way, fans will not look at him at home sitting on their sofas.

The creator of the success series recently made fun of the possibility of a theatrical release before the film lands on Netflix, which would be fantastic!

Speaking with the playlist, Knight confirmed that the production had wrapped at the end of last year:

“We wrapped on December 13th. We have Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, Rebecca Fergusonand of course Cillian Murphy AND Stephen Graham. And I must say that it is amazing. “

He continued saying: “I really want Peaky fans who have been an important part of this who is looking at everything together in a building. The communication was all virtual, but I want this to be in cinemas so that people can sit there together and look at this thing to happen. “

I love the fact that it is pushing for a correct theatrical version, although Netflix’s real plans for distribution have not been revealed.

The deadline contacted both Knight and the streaming giant for clarifications, but so far there is no official word on how it will learn.

Beyond the film, Knight Aleo is not excluding a return to Peaky Blinders‘World online. When he was asked of the possibility of several stories set in his underground world of Birmingham among the wars, he left the door wide open:

“This is an end suitable for the first chapter. As long as there is an appetite for this and I have stories to tell, then why not? “

That comment of the “first chapter” is definitely interesting as it suggests that the film could close an important arch but not necessarily being the last time we see these characters.

When previously he was asked if the film would have been the final episode, Knight shared: “This part, yes. It is not allowed to announce it, but I’m just saying that Peak’s world will continue. “

There are still no details on the story, but Knight said at some point that the story would have been set during the Second World War. We will only have to wait and see what history will entail.

Outside of PeakyKnight has been occupied with other historical dramas. His series Sas Rogue Heroes I just wrapped his second season on the BBC and his latest project, A thousand strokesRecently debut on Disney+.
