McMahon said to Screen Rant: “Is Robert, do you know what I mean? What are you going to say? His work body speaks alone. He is a great boy.
McMahon’s time like Doom existed in a very different era, before the Marvel Studios became the Juggernaut which is today below Kevin Feige. Then, he says, the Fantastic Four The films were still discovering their identity.
“When we made the films years ago, we were at [precipice] of all those things that happen. So, we were finding our way a lot and we were trying to understand in what space the film itself lived.
“Was it a children’s movie? Was it a family movie? Was he more guided by the comedy or was he more guided by the trauma? We were trying to find all that stuff while we were turning. “
He continued: “If you have Robert Downey Jr, who is one of the great creatives of the last, however many years we have looked at it, mixed with the elements of how we can make movies these days? I think it will be quite extraordinary.”
McMahon played Victor Von Doom for the first time Fantastic Four (2005) and resumed the role in Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). A long time has passed since I saw those movies, so I don’t remember whether it was good or not. But Downey Jr. Assume the role of Doom will be really interesting to see.
