It was initially expected that the Daredevil actor Charlie Cox and big bad Wilson Fisk (Vincenzo D’Onofrio) would be the only actors to move from the Netflix show to the Disney+ reboot/continuation. Luckily, the creatives had enough foresight to bring back the original Foggy and Karen, and as the show continued to develop, including a complete overhaul, other actors from the first series ended up making the leap as well.
This includes Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, played by Jon BernthalAND Wilson Bethelby Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter/Bullseye.
His villainous role was important in the first season and it looks like he will continue to make his mark in the coming seasons. After breaking out of prison, Bullseye is on the loose, and Bethel spoke about his return while attending a recent convention, saying:
“There are whole new avenues into Dex’s interesting and confusing psyche that we get to explore, and there are some really, really fun things coming for Bullseye and Dex. I think the coolest Bullseye fight sequence we’ve yet to see on the show is part of [Season 2]one that’s pretty damn awesome.”
Set photos suggest that the Man Without Fear and Bullseye will team up Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Matt Murdock learning that Dex was manipulated by Vanessa Fisk could change their dynamic, as could the revelation that Foggy is alive (which remains the prevailing theory among fans).
We wouldn’t bet on Bullseye becoming a hero, but the character’s story looks set to continue in the recently announced third season. Commenting on this, Bethel anticipated: “As some of you may know, we’ve already been picked up for another new season that we’ll start doing next year. We’ll have more Bullseye coming, Kingpin and everything.”
