On October 25, Pokrovka. The theater started working again, but with a new look. It is now ready to welcome again everyone who wants to enjoy art.
In just a month and a half, the theater was transformed and had a new look. What changes await guests? A transforming hall appeared, accommodating twice as many spectators, the interior was completely updated, a cafe was opened, a useful wardrobe and a bedroom became available.
The theater management also prepared an impressive program. As the artistic director of the theater Dmitry Bikbaev noted: “The basis of the theater’s poster remains domestic classics, but it will be read differently and with an important note that this is not speculation on fashionable topics, but a real contact with the meaning. This is the neoclassicism and neoromanticism of Pokrovka – an approach in which respect for tradition becomes a source of energy for the search for a new stage language.”

New extraordinary productions, in which the audience is involved in the theatrical action together with the artists, will undoubtedly impress those in search of special emotions and adventure.
By the way, our big interview with Dmitry Bikbaev is about the theater, the play “Moscow. Twilight” and much more – read here.
