The Marvel cinematographic universe used the characters we know and love from the comics that introduced them, and while some stories and plots have been familiar, the films and shows have also been written in a way that makes fans guess.
The MCU was allowed to create new worlds based on those on the pages and while many comic plot names have been lent to films, we rarely see a real comic adaptation.
While this will remain mostly, the directors Joe and Anthony Russo Aka The Russian brothers are trying to get ideas from both series of comics Secret warsWhich will be the second film in their next Epic Avengers in two parts.
During an interview with Tech Radar (via CBM), the Russos revealed that they will “draw inspiration” from both first Jim Shooter-written Secret wars which was published in 1984 and the Jonathan Hickman-The Senned version that was released in 2015.
When asked if they would look for a comic ride on the other, Joe said: “Well, we always create our version of the story. So, we use comics as a loose inspiration.
But, you know, I grew up in the original race. It is something that led me to the Marvel comics. Hickman’s race is also fantastic [and they’re] Very different from each other in many ways, so we will draw inspiration from both “.
Avengers: Doomsday set for the release on May 1, 2026 e Avengers: Secret Wars It is coming on May 7, 2027.
