Actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach From The bear fame is about to join the ranks of Marvel stars as he will play Ben Grimm/Thing in the upcoming reboot Fantastic Four: First Steps.
But this isn’t his first Marvel role, and why Marvel Netflix shows include him The Punisher are now MCU canon, meaning he’s joining the two-time MCU club, playing two characters in the intertwined universe.
Moss-Bachrach played the character David “Micro” Lieberman in the Netflix series The Punisheropposite Jon Bernthal’s Franco Castello. Micro was an ally and technological asset to the vigilante, who aided Frank in the first season. While he didn’t get the chance to return to the role, he made his mark in a 12-episode arc.
The actor joins the likes of actors who include Josh Brolin, Linda Cardellini, AND Michelle Yeohamong others, who have done double duty in Marvel movies and on TV, and it looks like this second role will be around for the long haul, as the next phases of the MCU are set to include the Fantastic Four team.
The Punisher will also return in the next series Daredevil: Born Againwhich will bring back several characters from Netflix’s Marvel shows.
While it’s unlikely that Moss-Bachrach’s Micro will be enlisted to return, it’s fun to imagine that his character is out there in the world of the MCU, fighting for justice alongside all the other characters that include Ben Grimm.
