Disturbing trailer for the new Blumhouse horror film THE WOMAN FROM THE SHIPYARD

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Blumhouse’s upcoming horror film The woman in the courtyardwhich comes from the director Jaume Collet-Serra (House of Wax, Orphan, Le Secche).

It looks like the movie will deliver some major creepy thrills! The trailer doesn’t reveal much, but it heavily teases, the mysterious woman in the courtyard, who is linked to something sinister.

Danielle Deadwyler (Until more fall, the piano lesson) in the role of “Ramona, a woman paralyzed by pain after surviving a car accident that takes away her husband (Russell Hornsby; BMF, Fences).

“Severely injured, Ramona now has to take care of her 14-year-old son (Peyton Jackson; Respect, American Refugee) and her 6-year-old daughter (Estella Kahiha; Will Trent, BMF), alone on his rural farm. Then one day the woman takes shape in their backyard.”

“Ramona assumes that the woman (Okwui Okpokwasili; The Exorcist: Believer, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Julie Taymor) is lost or gone mad, but as the woman gets closer and closer to the house, it becomes clear that she is no ordinary figure and her intentions are entirely ‘other than peaceful.

“Now Ramona must take action to protect herself and her children from the grasp of the woman who simply won’t leave them alone.”

Producer Jason Blum he previously said of the film: “I’ve been trying to find the right project to work on with Jaume, in our system, for over a decade.

“ The woman in the courtyard is the perfect pairing, a film ambitious in scope but modest in budget that unites Jaume’s vision with the incomparable Danielle Deadwyler.

“Together with my friend Stephanie Allain, this is a true dream team and I am thrilled to collaborate with them on the film.”

The Woman in the Yard will be released in theaters on March 28, 2025.
