KRAVEN THE HUNTER director hopes to adapt KRAVEN’S LAST HUNT next and there’s a wild new promo spot

Kraven the Hunter director JC Chandor he hopes the film will be successful at the box office, with fans and critics because he would like to return to make a sequel and he already knows what story he wants to tell.

In an interview with Collider, Chandor shared that his plan was always to continue the story by adapting the classic plot from the 1987 comic. Kraven’s Last Huntwhich features the final battle between Kraven and Spider-Man.

The director said: “As crazy as it seemed and there were a lot of challenges, there was an opportunity to structure it as a classic origin story, but not a hero story or a classic superhero story.

“It’s essentially building a villain. The last bit, for Aaron and for me, was in Kraven’s Last Hunt, which, if this thing works and is a success, that’s where the story would end. Obviously it’s very tragic and sad.

“The journey to get there is a crazy ride and a lot of fun, but the character we’re trying to create is one that could realistically, if the movie were successful, end up in Last Hunt. This, as a storyteller, can sit on the shelves with the rest of my films.”

Telling that story without Spider-Man, though, seems pointless. And even if the director can use Spider-Man, a story pleases Kraven’s Last Hunt needs a lot of buildup!

Franchise star Aaron Taylor-Johnson he even hinted that Kraven could become a full-fledged villain by the end of the film during a recent interview, and promises he won’t disappoint.

He said, “I mean, the question is up to everyone else, right? Because I think what we’ve done, what we’ve created in this story is a really rich character that definitely has the legs to move forward.” and do more damage.

I think he should compare himself to some superheroes we know. One of my favorite stories is Kraven’s Last Hunt. It was one of the source materials I was coming back to. He’s got some dark demons there and we’re basically showing their birth and how he becomes a villain that we then come to know.

“So really come see this movie, man. Come see this movie. I promise it won’t disappoint you. It has all the beats you want and more. I think he could be some kind of audience favorite villain, definitely in your face with other people in the future, man.”

Kraven the Hunter is the visceral, action-packed origin story of how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), sets him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the world’s greatest hunter, but also one of the most feared.

The film is also the protagonist Ariana De Bose like Calypso, Russell Crowe as Nikolai Kravinoff, Fred Hechinger like a chameleon, Alessandro Nivola like a bad stranger, Levi Miller, AND Capture-22 star Christopher Abbott as the main villain, The Foreigner.

Kraven the Hunter movie in theaters nationwide on December 13, 2024. I’ve also included a new promotional spot that you can watch below!
