Some new details for James Gunn’S Superman came up that I thought might be of interest to you all. These details cover one of the villains, “Justice Gang”, the possible release of the trailer, and more.
When I got this information, I checked to see if anyone else had reported it and there was one that had already been reported, so I’ll start with that one first…. one of the bad guys.
Possible SPOILERS ahead, so if you don’t want to know anything, don’t read any further! I stress, these are all rumors since no one in the studio has confirmed them. But I trust the source, so we’ll see.
Ultraman is said to be one of history’s great secondary villains. Internal Daniele Richtmann said: “Ultraman has confirmed via a new toy list for the Superman film. So it is confirmed that it is Ultraman and not Ulysses.”
What hasn’t been reported is that Nicola HoultSuperman’s Lex Luthor forces his way into Superman’s Fortress of Solitude and strengthens Superman’s DNA.
In the comics, Ultraman is Superman’s evil counterpart from an alternate universe known as Earth-3 and is a member of the Crime Syndicate.
Unlike Superman, Ultraman draws his powers from kryptonite rather than the sun and becomes stronger with exposure to it. He is a ruthless and tyrannical character with no moral code, representing the corrupt and selfish antithesis of Superman’s heroism.
With regard to Nathan Fillionby Guy Gardner/Green Lantern; Isabela Mercedeit’s Hawkgirl; AND Edi GathegiIt’s Michael Holt/Mr. Great, their team is called the “Justice Gang” in the movie. At the end of the film, the team members will all receive their comic costumes.
Some more information… Milly AlcockSupergirl shows up near the end of the movie with Krypto and Rachel BrosnahanLois Lane flies in a spaceship.
As for when we can expect the trailer, it could drop right before Christmas. The date I heard was December 23rd.
Again, these details are just rumors and if James Gunn actually saw this article, he might very well deny everything, which I’m fine with. Then I know I will never trust my trusted source again!
Superman will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas.

Superman even stars David Corenswet like Superman; Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen; María Gabriela de Faría in the role of Angela Spica, aka The Engineer; Sara Sampaio as Eva Teschmacher; AND Terence Rosemore as Otis.
Superman will launch the cinematic portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. The theatrical release is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
