A24 has released the full trailer for Adrian Brodythe next movie The brutalistwhich tells the story of a brilliant architect who emerges from the Holocaust during World War II and moves to America to start a new life.
In the film, “Escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth comes to America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being forced apart during the war by shifting borders and regimes.
“Alone in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a high price…”
The brutalist was directed by Brady Corbet (The childhood of a leader AND Vox Lux) and is also the protagonist Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, Isaach De BankoleAND Alessandro Nivola.
The film was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama and received rave reviews. Sounds like a movie worth seeing!
A24 will debut the film in select US theaters, including 70mm screening, starting December 20, 2024.
