Arcane it officially ended last weekend and holy hell! This show took the audience on a truly incredible journey! I freaking loved this show and I’m sad it’s over.
While I loved the show and how it ended, I think there was definitely room for at least one more season to flesh out the story a little more. But, in the end, I am satisfied with the result.
The series currently has a perfect critics score on Rotten Tomatoes with both Season 1 and Season 2 receiving 100%. Not only that, but both viewership scores are also quite high, with Season 1 scoring 97% and Season 2 scoring 91%.
Besides that, the show’s IMDb rants are also impressive as season 2 is currently rated above 9, which currently makes it one of the highest rated shows in IMDb history.
Yes, Arcane is easily one of the best video game adaptations of all time. The creative team at Riot did a great job bringing this story to life, and I’m happy to see all the time and money put into this thing paying off.
In the series, the Jinx sisters (Ella Purnell) and Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) find themselves trapped on opposite sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and its poor underbelly, Zaun.
In the cities of Piltover and Zaun, “tensions rise as inventors, thugs, politicians and crime lords grow increasingly dissatisfied with the constraints of a devastated society.
“With the situation on the brink of being untenable, two sisters steal an artifact of immeasurable power. Discovery and danger collide as heroes are born and bonds are broken. Will this power change the world? Or will it lead to ruin? This is the world of Arcane.
“In the midst of growing unrest between the wealthy, utopian city of Piltover and its squalid, downtrodden underbelly of Zaun, sisters Vi and Jinx find themselves on opposite sides of a brewing conflict over conflicting beliefs and arcane technologies.”
Act 3, the final act, will be released on November 23rd.
