Dead Evil franchising isn’t slowing down anytime soon. After the back-crushing carnage of Dead evil rises in 2023, the next chapter, Dead evil burnsis coming, and it looks like it’s going to be another damn wild ride.
Director Sébastien Vanicek recently shared a short but intense first look at the upcoming film, giving fans a little taste of the mayhem it’s brewing. The teaser doesn’t reveal much, but what it shows is pretty brutal.
In the clip, one of the film’s characters is seen furiously slamming a blood-soaked metal object into something, or someone, perhaps a Deadite, over and over again. The sound of flesh meeting steel and desperate screams make it clear that this film is pulling no punches.
The shot cuts to black before you can see what’s being attacked, leaving the rest to your imagination.
Plot details for Dead evil burns are still under wraps, though it’s confirmed that this is an unrelated spin-off rather than a direct continuation Dead evil rises.
The cast includes Souheila Yacoub (Duna: second part), Hunter Doohan (Daredevil: Born Again), Luciane Buchanan (War Chief), AND Tandi Wright (Pearl), all play new characters who will likely face the franchise’s signature demonic chaos.
Vaniček was open about his vision for the film from the early stages of development. He previously said he wanted to push the boundaries of horror even further, saying:
“I wanted to make a bad film, a film that hurts. […] I’ll put all the horror I have inside, [and] it will be cathartic.”
With Dead evil burns now officially wrapped and set to hit theaters on July 24, 2026, fans of the splatter-filled terror have a lot to look forward to. And once Burn lights up, the Evil Dead saga will continue once again with another untitled project from the director Francesco Galluppi.
