While the whole world is discussing the new iPhone 17, residents of Norway and Finland are also buying old Nokia phones en masse. The legendary model 3310 unexpectedly surpassed Apple’s last flagship in terms of popularity and again became a real bestseller, Ilta-Sanomat reports.

It turns out that the reason why the “unkillable” Nokia returned to the top of popularity is quite simple. Schools in Norway and Finland began to actively impose bans on the use of smartphones, and parents of schoolchildren decided to return to the proven classics – phones without access to the Internet and social networks.
According to market representatives, the demand for old models has increased several times. The manager of a second-hand goods platform in Finland said that the interest in old Nokias is now greater than the iPhone 17. The cult phone Nokia 3310, which is 25 years old this year, is especially loved by buyers. The updated version is published by a Finnish company and, as sellers note, the demand for it is gradually increasing.
By the way, we have previously written that HMD Global stopped producing smartphones under the Nokia brand and switched entirely to its own brand. Read more here.
