Paul Bettany confirms that VISIONQUEST will take place “about a year” after WANDAVISION

It’s been a while since fans last saw Vision fly into the unknown at the end of WandaVisionBut Paolo Bettany offers some insight into where his story will pick up in Marvel’s upcoming series VisionQuest.

During an interview with Rotten Tomatoes at NYCC, Bettany confirmed that the show picks up about a year after the events of WandaVision:

“Pick up Vision’s story, it’s about a year later, and White Vision, you’ll remember, was given all of Red Vision’s memories, including the memories within the Hex.

“And he has a hard time feeling them, connecting with the memories. He understands them intellectually but he wants to feel those memories, and that’s part of the journey of the show.”

That final moment WandaVisionwith White Vision taking off after receiving his memories, it left many questions hanging and VisionQuest will dive right into those lingering threads, exploring the synthetic Avenger’s struggle to reconcile what he knows with what he feels.

Bettany has previously described the series as something deeper and more personal than fans might expect:

“It’s about intergenerational trauma…fathers and sons and denying pain and your own truth and coming to terms with who and what you are.”

This kind of emotional core fits the themes perfectly WandaVision explored so effectively, but this time it looks like Vision’s evolution will take center stage.

The cast lineup for VisionQuest promises to be strong, with James Spader returning as Ultron, Todd Stashwick in the role of Paladin, T’Nia Miller like Jocasta, and Emily Hampshire like EDITH

The fans will see it too James D’Arcy come back as Jarvis and Ruaridh Crumb as Thomas Shepherd, one of Wanda and Vision’s twin sons.

VisionQuest will be released in 2026, giving fans plenty of time to speculate about where the story will lead and how Vision’s journey to self-discovery could shape the next era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Before that, Marvel The Wonder Man the arrival is scheduled for next January.
